Lala Prepares To Shut Down

Music streaming website Lala will shut down at the end of this month. Looks like Pitchfork et al are gonna have to find some other way to post songs.

Is Lala the superior streaming service?
Does Lala's shutting down have anything to do with MGMT's sales drop?
When Lala is gone, are you gonna start buying CD's/records/tapes?
Are Lala gift cards better/more alt than iTunes'? Can I start saving them as collectors items/ for the irony?

Bloc Party's Kele Just Wants To Make You Dance

Kele's releasing his solo album The Boxer this June, because even he's gotten tired of listening to Bloc Party. Just dropped a new single for you to work out in the gym to/get pumped up for your basket ball game:

Is Kele better than Bloc Party?
Did you feel the urge to get up and dance after hearing this song?
Do you sometimes wish you could grow dreads like Kele?

New Major Lazer Remix

Found this song while reading Fader. Diplo from Major Lazer decided to remix one of his own songs. Now normally I'm not one for dance music, but I'm willing to make an exception for Major Lazer. http://thefader.cachefly.net/keep-it-diplo.mp3

A Cappella Spoon?

That's right, Spoon is streaming an a cappella version of "The Ghost Of You Lingers" on their website. Apparently Britt Daniel thought his voice was so beautiful that they would just scrap the music behind it. I can't say I disagree. Here it is (the music actually starts at about 30 sec):
